I want Google Accounts for my Domain Name.

We have been using Google for many years now as our exclusive Office software.

I use Microsoft Office only to support customers that still use it.

Google Office, or Google Apps as it is known, is a full office suite of programs that are delivered on-line.

  • Using your Chrome browser you login to your google account.
  • Your account can be your_name@your_domain.nz
  • Now at the standard https://google.co.nz you have your tool bar.

  • Search is just that.
  • Mail is the gmail webmail with your username your_name@your_domain.nz, I would suggest moving everyone to this, getting out of Outlook with it's problems that are becoming more common as people have years worth of emails that make outlook run poorly.
  • Drive is your Google Office, it has Documents, Spreadsheets, Slides, Forms, Drawings, Tables and thousands of third party applications.
  • Calendar is just that, share, collaborate, plan and manage.
  • Sites is for create rather useful websites.
  • Groups, manage, create and collaborate with others.
  • Contact all in one place and available everywhere.
  • More: just keep exploring.

This has become my office.

  3. On my phone and tablet.
  4. And any where I go that I do support.

One particular thing I like about this is that I can create files on my customers, recovery plans, how their networks work, share them with them, access them from any computer at their site. I don't carry my laptop with me any more, all I need now is an internet connection. Open up chrome and go "New incognito window".
